Linda Gilliam Obituary

Linda lived her entire life in Russellville and graduated from Russellville High School in 1956. She was also a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church. She retired from Southern Deposit Bank after more than 20 years as a teller. Linda loved her community and was a devoted friend to many. Her passion, however, was her family who knew her as Mom or Memaw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband, Glenn Gilliam, as well as her brothers Johnny Guion and George Guion.
Her survivors include her brother, Joe (Carolyn) Guion of Oxford, Mississippi;sister in law Patsy Guion, Lewisburg; son Steve (Kim) Gilliam of Madisonville, daughter, Diane (Ricky) Walker of Russellville, daughter, Sherry Winecoff of Nashville, and son Mark (Leslie) Gilliam of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kyla (Bill) Costello, Michael(Victoria) Walker, Kelly(Christine) Gilliam, Courtney (Noah) Bowman, Ben Gilliam, Ellie Gilliam, and Olivia(Erwin) Zuniga; great grandchildren, Hunter McDowell, Jacoveon Temple-Dickerson, Valentina Martinez, Brelynn Walker, Kynnzie Costello, Thomas Gilliam, Bradley Grace Bowman, Everett Gilliam, Nash Gilliam, Aaron Gilliam and Rosemary Bowman along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, September 1, 2025 at Summers and Son funeral home. Burial to follow at Maple Grove cemetery in Russellville.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM on Monday until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM.
Pallbearers: Bill Costello, Hunter McDowell, Michael Walker,Jacoveon Temple - Dickerson, Kelly Gilliam, Ben Gilliam.
Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church or the Agape Service Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Summers and Son Funeral Home are in charge of the arrangements.
