Linda D. Gleaves was born November 5,1949 in Nashville Tennessee to the late Georgia E. Gleaves and Howard Gleaves. She departed this life on Sunday, April 21,2024.
At an early age, Linda accepted Christ as her Savior, she was a member of Foster Chapel M.B. Church for over 50 years and later united with Faith Church Inc. She was an active member and served faithfully as a longstanding and dedicated member of Faith church family.
Linda was educated in the Davidson County School System and graduated from Cameron High School in 1967. She attended A.I. University now known as Tennessee State University.
Linda was employed by Sunday School Publishing Board for over 50 years. In 2017 she decided it was time to come home and enjoy life after retirement.
Linda was known to her nieces and nephews as Aunt Diamond. Her family was most important to her and she would always put them first before her own needs.
Linda enjoyed bowling, family time, bingo, loved working with the children in church and crafting.
She preceded in death by parents Georgia E. Gleaves and Howard Gleaves, and sister, Cheryl Gleaves – Easley.
Those left to cherish her memories are, devoted sister Larentina Gleaves of Madison Tn. devoted brother Howard Gleaves of Nashville Tn., devoted aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
