Linda Griffis

Linda Ann Griffis, 61, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born on March 21, 1962, in Mishawaka, Indiana, the daughter of William H and Janet L (Houghton) Griffis.
Linda dedicated many years of her life to her career at Sallie Mae, where she worked as a loan processor before retiring. She cherished her winters in Florida, reveling in the warmth of the sun. Linda found solace and community in her faith by attending services at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Anderson.
She is survived by her brothers, William (Kerrie) Griffis and Kenneth (Sharon) Griffis, her devoted companion, Frankie St. Phillip, and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda also leaves behind cherished friends, including Susan Goudy, Peggy King, and Charlotte Vallier.
Preceded in death by her parents, Linda's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life service to honor her memory is planned for Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in Glad Tidings Assemly of God Church, 2624 N Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN 46012.A gathering of friends and family will be 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 2624 N Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN 46012.
