Linda Marie Groetken

Linda Marie Groetken, 75, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, at a local hospital after a brief illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, with Father Anthony Weidner officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, with a Vigil and Rosary Service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Linda was born Aug. 5, 1947, in Sioux City, the daughter of Glenn and Evonne (O'Connell) Tucker. She married Francis D. Groetken on June 7, 1969, in Sioux City. The couple owned and operated various businesses in the Sioux City area. Francis preceded Linda in death on May 4, 2002. Linda enjoyed doing word search puzzles and playing other games in her spare time and enjoyed spending time at the Siouxland Center for Active Generations.
She is survived by her sons Francis "Nicky" Groetken II of Bloomfield, Neb., and Randall Groetken (Kim Watson) of Dakota City; granddaughters Samantha Groetken (Carlos Rodelo) of South Sioux City, Cristin Groetken of Boise, Idaho, and Brooklynne Groetken of Sioux City; great-grandchildren Autumn, Sunny, Gavin, and Luciana; sister Lisa Hagberg-Maryott and her husband Dan; special friend Larry Besch; and daughter-in-law Shelly Groetken (Mike Vogt).
Linda was preceded in death by her father Glenn Tucker; mother Evonne Hagberg; stepfather Melvin Hagberg; and two brothers Kirk Tucker and Randall Tucker.

I grew up with Linda on South Lakeport. We had a lot of fun going to school together. I remembered her and Francis on their boat next to mine at Marina Inn Docks may she rest in peace Sincerly Greg Hofling
