Linda Hardin Obituary
Linda Lois Higgins Hardin,78, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at her residence.
Linda was a native of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Pete and Louise Liner Higgins. She was a selfless mother and grandma to her children and grandchildren, always putting them first before herself. Linda had a genuine love for all animals, giving a home to many who needed one. She loved her role as grandmother and great-grandmother and was affectionately known to all five as “Grandma”. Linda retired from Haywood County Department of Social Services and was a member of Grandview Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Cara Hardin of Waynesville and Dani Treadway (Barry), of Bethel; her son, Todd Hardin, of Bethel; the father of her children and her best friend, Roy Hardin of Clyde; three grandchildren, Emma (Andrew), Zane, and Bayleigh (Tyler); and two great-grandchildren, Molly and Weston.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening May 26, 2023 at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SARGE’S Animal Rescue Foundation, P.O. Box 854, Waynesville, NC 28786 or to the Alzheimer's Foundation of NC, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27609.
The care of Mrs. Hardin has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
