Linda Katherine Hardoin, 83, of Sacramento, CA passed away on the morning of February 3, 2025, at her home, surrounded by
her family and friends. She was born January 28, 1942, in Detroit, MI, the second of two daughters to Charles and Wilma
(Boorsma) Turner.
She was raised in St. Clair Shores and graduated from Lakeside High School in 1960. In 1961 she married Thomas Hardoin.
Together, they raised four children, two boys and two girls. Linda worked as a bank teller in the greater Detroit area until the
birth of her oldest son. She earned her AA degree in Accounting from Macomb County Community College and worked
seasonally as an Accountant for H&R Block. Linda and Tom owned and successfully operated the NAPA auto parts store in
Marlette, MI prior to their relocation to Sacramento, CA. Linda worked for Montgomery Ward Auto for several years, during
which time she won the nationwide grand prize for selling the most Monroe shocks in 1990. That prize earned her a trip to the
Indy 500. She finished her work history at the US Post Office before retiring in 2010 with more than 20 years of service.
Linda received an official diagnosis of Alzheimer's in 2019. With the help of her children and caregiver, she lived life to fullest
despite her degenerative brain disorder until she entered the Church Triumphant.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hardoin; parents Charles and Wilma Turner; sister, Sharron Leach;
grandparents Opal and Nellie Turner; and grandparents Lieuwe Jan Boorsma and Fanny Boorsma.
