Ms. Linda Harris (Tracy), a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the age of 60.
Linda was born on January 31, 1965, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Dorothy M. Harris and James E. Johnson. A lifelong resident of Saginaw, she graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1983. Linda dedicated many years of her life working in the hospitality industry, employed by several hotels in the Saginaw area before retiring in the early 2000s. Linda was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist church.
Linda, known as Tracy, leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughters, Crystal C. Nash and Whitley C. Harris (Adam); daughter-in-law, Felicia Harris, all of Saginaw, MI.
The joys of her life were her grandchildren, Jeremiah and Isaiah Harris, Aubree Leaphart, Diamond Pretchett, Blake Lee, Kentaisha Heart, Alex Buford, Antoinette Williams, and Martina Bowen; great-grandchildren, Za’riyah Harris, Sa’niyah, Dominick, Dominique, A’riyah, Kanada, Messiah, A’mari, Mar’sanii, Daire, and Malik.
Tracy treasured the time she spent with her siblings, DeDe and Terry Taylor, Victoria and Tina Harris, Lori Wright, Ronald Doxie, and Darius Cameron all of Saginaw MI, Dion and Kawana Harris of South Bend, Indiana, Curly and Terry Grays of Detroit, Michigan, and Tiara Clifton of Houston, Texas; special friends, Lula Coleman and Genita Wills.
Tracy was a reflection of her mother, Dorothy. Everything Dot taught her she never swayed from. She remained committed and was not easily influenced to change. She was known for her "green thumb" and her love for plants, which she nurtured with the same care she gave her family and friends.
Tracy’s memory is a treasure, a constant reminder of the joy that she brought into our lives. We will cherish the memories we made together forever. May her spirit dance among the stars. Tracy’s love will continue to light our path, though tears may fall and hearts may ache, her love lives on, in every breath we take.
She is now reunited in eternal rest with the love of her life her beloved son, Darrell Decarlo Harris Jr. “Danky” , her parents, Dorothy M. Harris and James E. Johnson; grandparents, Henry and Mary Gilyard Burrell-Buriel; sister, Doris Harris; nephew, Mario Williams; niece, Whitney Phillips; great-niece, Ma’Kayla Williams; and many beloved aunts and uncles of the Burrell and Harris family.
