Linda Lucille Henson passed peacefully from this life on November 20, 2025.
Born on July 22, 1944, she will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her gentle kindness, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met.
Linda was devoted to her beloved husband, George Henson, with whom she shared a vibrant life filled with laughter, joy, and cherished memories. She had a gift for making people feel cared for, always offering compassion and comfort to those in need.
Linda found joy in life's simple and beautiful moments. She delighted in butterflies, cherished traveling with George, and treasured every minute with her grandchildren.
She loved dancing and singing along to Elvis and country music, and spending time with friends and family on the porch swing. A gifted cook, she was known for preparing everyone's favorite dishes with love.
She found community and fulfillment at Capitol Hill Baptist Church, where she joyfully served others. Linda spent years helping in the nursery, rocking babies, and teaching AWANAs alongside her husband, George.
Linda is survived by her children, Paula Carpenter and her husband Michael, and Terry Mitchum and his wife Christine; her stepchildren, Syndee Mize and Richard Henson; her cherished grandchildren, Erica Ducay, Jeremy Morehead and his wife Allie, Thane Mitchum and his wife Pierina, Mikala Carpenter, Parker Mitchum, Chloe Mitchum, and Genevieve Schade; and her great-grandchildren, Thomas, Rosemary, Kailin, Adelaide, Kleo, Claire, and Isabella. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Richard Daily and his wife Sara, her sister-in-law, Ina Daily, and many other loved ones who will hold her memory close.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Bonnie Daily, and her brothers, Earl, Junior, and Jim Bob.
Linda's life was marked by love, faith, and service. Her warmth, grace, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
