Linda Lou Higby passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Linda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Huddleston; her cherished daughter, Lynda “Shelly” Steffen; and her devoted parents, Westley and Joyce West. She is survived by her son, Mike Blackford; her step kids, including Darlene (Dave) McDonald;
sister Vicky West and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren who were more like family to her. Linda embraced them all with the same deep love and warmth she gave to everyone in her life.
Linda had a deep love for the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and hunting, and she found great happiness in the simple joys of nature and family time. No matter the circumstance, Linda always looked on the bright side of things—her optimism, strength, and laughter were gifts she shared freely with everyone around her.
Cremation has taken place, and the spreading of her ashes will be held at a later date
