Linda Dinjian Higgins
August 3, 1947 – October 27, 2025
Linda Dinjian Higgins, 78, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, in Delray Beach, Florida, with her son, Michael Riley, by her side. Born on August 3, 1947, in Arlington, Massachusetts, Linda most recently made her home in Brunswick, Georgia, where she enjoyed a peaceful and fulfilling life surrounded by family, friends, and her beloved pets. Prior to moving to Brunswick, she lived for several years in Fort Myers, Florida.
Linda was happily married to the love of her life, Derrick "Ricky" Gray Higgins, with whom she shared 28 wonderful years of marriage. Ricky, 73, of Brunswick, passed away earlier this year on January 2.
Linda was known for her kind heart, quick wit, and adventurous spirit. In her youth, she loved spending days surfing the waves at Rye Beach, New Hampshire - a reflection of her free-spirited nature and lifelong love of the ocean. That same sense of adventure stayed with her throughout her life, especially in her love for travel and cruising. Her most recent cruise, shared with her son in February 2025, was one of her happiest memories and a joyful reminder of her love for exploration and laughter.
Linda is survived by her son, Michael Riley (Britney) of Brunswick, GA; and three stepchildren. She was blessed with fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Towle.
Linda's heart was always open to animals, especially her cherished dogs Pokie, Bella, and Stevie, and her beloved cat, Wyatt. They were her constant companions and a source of daily joy and unconditional love.
She also had a taste for life's finer comforts - few things made her happier than a perfectly cooked cut of prime rib shared in good company. At home, she found peace and entertainment in her favorite game shows, detective mysteries, and classic Westerns. One of her favorite films, Out of Africa, reflected her appreciation for timeless beauty, resilience, and adventure.
Linda will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and compassionate nature. She touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
