Linda Marcel Stensland Horner was born on October 4, 1948. She died on September 13, 2025.

Linda was the oldest child born to Alvin and Mary Mae (Adams) Stensland. She graduated from Ballard High School in 1966. She was very proud to be a "chix of 66", a group of classmates that traveled together both domestically and overseas.

Linda was a very accomplished computer analyst. She traveled to several countries to set up and troubleshoot computer systems. While living in California she met and married Jack Horner. They moved to New York, then Florida. When her mother's health began to fail, Linda and her mother moved to Kansas City to be near her brother Michael. While in Kansas City, Linda suffered a traumatic brain injury and moved back to Iowa. She lived in assisted living in Bondurant and Madrid.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael. She is survived by her sister Nancy (Tom) Cross of Huxley and brother Brian of Webster City, three nephews; Wade Anderson, Justin Stensland and Tony Stensland, one aunt, one uncle, several cousins and friends around the world.

A private gathering is being planned for a later date.
