Linda Joyce Jeffries, daughter of the late Jess and Vivian Rachael (Crossland) Henson was born in Richland, Missouri. Linda attended school in Richland and lived out her life here in this little tight knit community she loved dearly.
On February 14, 1965, Linda married Larry Carl Jeffries at Grace Baptist Church in Richland, Missouri. Linda and Larry were loving parents of four children they adored. Linda and Larry shared lots of treasured memories sprinkled with joy, laughter, and heartache. They traveled through life with God at the for front over fifty-six years before Larry passed on December 16, 2021.
Linda professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. She and Larry were Charter members of Grace Baptist Church in Richland, Missouri. Linda was devoted to the Lord and enjoyed serving Him, and his church as long as her health permitted. The prayers and love Linda received brought her great comfort over the years.
Linda cared for her home and family all throughout her life, however, in 1967 she began working outside of her home at Richland's H.D. Lee factory for the next 32 years until it's closing. Linda loved children and not only watched her own grandkids but worked in Day Care and also helped care for the children in her church nursery in her younger years. Children just brought great joy and happiness to Linda's life. She was affectionately called "Nanny" to many. Linda also loved cooking for her family and would bake chocolate chip cookies and make Pumpkin Pie for Tressa. Linda's family was her heart and soul and her love for them was as deep as the ocean.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Vivian Henson, her father and mother-law, Alex and Adaline Jeffries, husband, Larry Jeffries, beloved grandson, William Alex "Will" Jeffries, son-in-law, Roger Willoughby, sisters, Carolyn Crossland and Alice Deborah (Henson) Duncan, brothers, Jessie "Spiro" Henson, Billy Henson, Victor Henson, and Michael "Tom" Henson; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Quillen and Penny Brady, brothers-in-law, Kenny, and Lenny Jeffries, and nephews, Michael "Bucky" Henson, and Jason Burke.
Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory, four children: Sinda Willoughby, Carla Jeffries, Roxie Jeffries, and Larry Jr. (Lori), all of Richland, MO: 10 grandchildren: Tressa, Owen, Taylor, Vintoria, Austin, Andrea, Michael, Tori, P.J., and Jessica, 18 great-grandchildren: Braxton, Connor, Cayde, Olivia, Zane, William, Jerica Jane, Nathanial, Maryjane, Isabella, Amelia, Benjamin, Gemma, Daisy, Dawn, Rose, Patrick, and baby girl; one brother, Gary Henson (Lucy) of Richland, MO, four sisters, Beverly Elson (Harold), Azalee Henson, Jessica Warren (Bill) all of Richland, MO, and Martha Burke-Wilson (Pete) of Stoutland, MO; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis Henson, Carol Henson, Mitch Duncan, Patricia Odom all of Richland, MO, Pamala Denny (Larry) of Lebanon, MO, Roy Quillen of Lake Ozark, MO, Buddy Jeffries of Bethalto, IL, and Glen Brady of Montreal, MO; several nieces, nephews, and her 4-legged companion, Molly Moo Moo; as well as a host of other relatives, and friends.
Linda went home to Heaven on the afternoon of Monday, November 10, 2025, while in the Richland Care Center having attained the age of 77. She leaves behind a legacy of love. Her warm and beautiful smiles will missed until we meet again.
Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2025, in the Grace Baptist Church of Richland with Brother Chuck Boren officiating. The songs played included, "How Great Thou Art" – Carrie Underwood and "Knowing What I Know About Heaven" by Guy Penrod. Brother Chuck closed the service with an old favorite, "Amazing Grace." Family and friends served as escorts. Linda was laid to rest in the Oaklawn Cemetery of Richland.
