Linda Pollard Jones 70, a beloved soul known for her sweet demeanor and appreciative nature, peacefully departed this earth on September 13, 2025, in Lynchburg, Virginia. Born on April 26, 1955, Linda illuminated the lives of those around her with an infectious smile. When you saw her smile, you couldn’t help but smile yourself. She had a heart that cherished everyone she met, truly embodying the phrase, "never met a stranger." Throughout her life, she spread joy and kindness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone.
Linda is lovingly remembered by her sons, Robert Jones, David Jones (Tashanta), and James Jones (Tamela); nine grandchildren, Serena, Monica, Devon, Jamellen, JaQuallen, Jayllen, Kelissa, Jayce, and Nico; 7 great grandchildren, Serenity, Laveyah, Levin, Tevin, A’niyah, Maliyah, and Alizah; as well as a very special sister/cousin, Patricia Pollard and many other relatives and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Thurman Pollard, and her beloved daughter, Charmaine Jones, whose memory will forever be cherished.
Her life will be honored during a visitation held at Tharp Funeral Home on September 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., located at 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
As we gather to celebrate her life, we will surely remember her bright smile and appreciative heart.
