Linda Kidd, 75, of El Paso passed away at 11:47 a.m. on Sunday. October 22, 2023 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
She was born on July 14, 1948 in Carrollton, IL a daughter of Robert and Clara Wilson Chinowth. She married Robert Kidd on June 17, 1966 in Cottage Hills, IL. He passed away on November 9, 2020.
Survivors include her mother, Clara Chinowth of El Paso; one daughter, Jennifer Murrah of Minonk; one brother, David (Sue) Chinowth of Atlanta, IL; two grandsons, Keith (Kristina) Kidd of Peoria; Matthew (Ashton Vacanti) Grimsley of Minonk; five great grandchildren, Everett, Oaklee, Theodore, Jaxson, Clara.
She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Richard Kidd; and son-in-law, Kelly Murrah.
Linda worked at the post office for over 30 years last working in Gridley as the postmaster.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, computer games, reading and online shopping. She collected paper weights and oil lamps. Linda was a member of the Kiwanis Club and Postmaster League. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids and enjoyed her family time.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso. Dr. Janice Hazekamp will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Paso. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is handling arrangements for the family.
