Linda Lorraine Kinnan, age 67 of Manistee died Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Villa at Traverse Point in Traverse City, Michigan.
She was born on April 26, 1958 in Charleroi, PA the daughter of James Laverne & Virginia Emma (Hecht) Kinnan. She was a 1976 graduate of Glassboro High School in New Jersey and later studied Christian Education at United Wesleyan College in Allentown, PA.
Following a six year career at Jamesway Department Store in Glassboro, NJ, managing the toy, infant, & layaway departments, Linda was employed as assistant director at the Little People Child Care Center in Allentown, PA for 22 years. She was named Child Care Director of the Year in 1998 by the Pennsylvania Child Care Association. In Manistee she held positions with Choices, Green Acres, the Salvation Army, and foster care. She loved caring for children.
She was an active attendee of Faith Covenant Church in Manistee from October of 2008 until failing health made it impossible for her to attend. She loved working in the church nursery and led many Bible studies in a ladies' group. Linda along with her mother loved to prepare meals for Safe Harbor when needed and for the Wednesday night youth group.
Survivors include her mother: Jean Kinnan, her brother and sister-in-law; Greg & Wonda Kinnan, two very special nieces Tara & Aubree Lyman, a special foster daughter; Arryah Jean-Noel Montney, numerous Kinnan & Hecht cousins, nieces & nephews, and aunt June Kinnan, aunt Jean Hecht, and aunt Barbara Hecht, to many to mention very special care givers and her Faith Covenant Church Family.
Her father Rev. James L. Kinnan preceded her in death on February 22, 2002.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Faith Covenant Church in Manistee with Pastors Erik Carlson and Marc Eix officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 PM until time of service. A luncheon will follow the service.
Memorials in Linda's name may be directed to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital and Faith Covenant Church.
