Born on November 4, 1955, in the heart of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gail's journey began as the cherished daughter of Sgt Charlie Walter Stevens of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Dorothy Beatrice Turner of Wichita Falls, Texas. Her luminous spirit continued to shine brightly until her peaceful passing from an aggressive brain tumor. On November 20, 2024.
Gail's early years were shaped by the loving community of
Conroe, Texas, where she attended Conroe High School, graduating with the class of 1974. Her education laid a strong foundation for a distinguished career spanning five decades, during which she excelled as a banking professional and office manager. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her commitment to her colleagues and the countless individuals she served with grace and efficiency.
Beyond her professional achievements, Gail's heart truly belonged to her family. She was the proud and devoted mother of two daughters, one from her marriage to Harley Houston Bowman of
Conroe, Texas came, Kimberly Gail Bowman. From her marriage to Stephen Wayne Long of Bonham, Texas came Lacey DeMar Long, they were the center of her universe. Her love extended to her three adored grandchildren, Jaden James Dial, Mason Nathaniel Taylor, and Kylee Grace Long, who were her pride and joy. Gail's brothers, Glen Thomas Goodrum and Donald Lee Stevens(Carol Ann), along with one nephew, Ross Stevens and one niece, Shannon Goodrum, also held special places in her heart.
