Services for Linda Carol Brown McCuen will be held Friday, October 24th, 11am at Helvetia Community Church.

Linda was born October 17, 1943, to Homer and Leona Brown. As a toddler, she moved from California to Hillsboro where she lived the rest of her life. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1961 and Oregon College of Education in 1965. She spent her career as an elementary teacher.

Linda and Henry McCuen were married in 1965. They had four children: Barbie, Steve, Tom and Wendy. They built their house from the ground up and lived most of their years there. Linda's final 3 years were lived out at Avamere Assisted Living and then Memory Care.

While growing up, her interests included writing for the high school paper, Blue Birds, Camp Fire Girls and dancing. As an adult she enjoyed canning, cooking, clam digging, outings, and letter writing. She considered sending cards of encouragement her ministry.

Faith in God played a large role in the life she led. Throughout her adult life she attended Helvetia Community Church, Bethany Baptist, Dayspring Christian Fellowship and Christian Church of Hillsboro.

Linda was a born again Christian, sealed in the blood of Jesus. She wants you to know the same Lord and savior she put her faith in. If you are not sure about your future, read John 3:16, accept Jesus as your saviour and put your faith in God.

Linda is survived by her husband, her children, her grandchildren and her brother.

Donations may be made to The Gideons International, PO Box 355, Forest Grove OR 97116. This organization distributes Bibles throughout the world.
