Linda Kay McPhillips

1945 - 2021

Linda Kay McPhillips of Pampa, Texas was born on July 28, 1945. Linda passed at the age of 75 at her home in Amarillo, surrounded by her loving family on February 23, 2021.

Linda was the youngest daughter of Edna and Alvin Jordan following her older siblings, Charley Jordan, Bobby Loyd Jordan, Merdel Jordan and Blanche Jordan. She was born and raised in Pampa, where as a teenager she met her husband, John McPhillips. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1963.

On October 10, 1967, Linda and John McPhillips married in Panhandle, Texas. They then moved to Conroe, where they welcomed their son, James McPhillips in 1971. Linda worked at Fred's Auto Parts for many years and enjoyed bowling and spent countless hours in bowling leagues and activities with her girlfriends. She participated in nearly 50 National bowling tournaments and traveled around the United States and took great pride in those accomplishments.

She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, John J. McPhillips, Jr. ; son: James McPhillips and his wife Kim McPhillips; grandchildren: David Johnson, Daphne Johnson and Alexandra McPhillips; great-grandchildren: Kensley Johnson, Mckenna Johnson, Indiana McPhillips, and Luke Sykes; along with many other relatives and countless friends.

Linda is reunited with her family on high. She has cast off her earthly burdens and infirmities.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday March 1, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McNutt Funeral Home. The funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday March 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at McNutt Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Wayne Law. Interment will follow at Conroe Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Mike Meeks, Kevin Freed, Kyle Butler, Keith Norman, Thomas Sellers, and Roland Weber.
