Linda A. Metts, 76, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Helen (Hanson) Calligano and the late Vincent Calligano.
She spent many years devoted to her work as a dental office assistant, where she was known for her kindness, gentle nature, and the ease with which she made others feel cared for.
Linda's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her mother, Helen Calligano; her sister, Sally Calligano; her sons, Derek Metts and Kris Metts; her daughter-in-law, Hanh Metts; and her beloved grandchildren, Jonah Metts, Avia Metts, and Vivian Metts. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life. Her love for them was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent watching them grow.
Linda will always be remembered for her free-spirited, loving, and kind soul. She brought warmth wherever she went, and her gentle presence left a soft, lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, RI 02910. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
