Mrs. Linda Lee Savinsky Moon, 83, of Hester Road, Elberton, GA passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
Born on December 5, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Tessie Savinsky. Known for her diminutive stature and outgoing personality, she loved visiting the North Georgia Mountains, family reunions and gathering together for frequent "cousin lunches". She belonged to several spiritual communities over the decades and was most recently attending Bethlehem Global Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lewis Moon; her sister, Jean Brown; and her brother Phillip Wiliiams.
Survivors include her sister, Maureen Solano; sons: Carl J. Moon (Leslie) and Wesley L. Moon (Julie); granddaughter, Lynzee Homan (Richard); great-grandchildren: Zariah Wynter Smith and Zephyr Blaze Smith; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will gather and receive friends at Berry Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, from 6PM to 8PM.
Funeral services will be held in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home at 11AM on Friday, May 23, with Rev. Douglas Huff, Rev. Thomas Moon and Rev. John Moore officiating. Interment will take place at Elmhurst Cemetery following the service.
