Linda Moore, 72, of Odessa, Texas passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025
She was born on April 26, 1952 in Rockdale, TX to Henry Smith and Marjorie Miller.
Linda was beloved by her spouse, parents, sibling, and friends known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for family and friends.
Linda dedicated her life to her career at Southwestern Bell, her family, extended church family, and friends. Linda retired from the phone company after 28 long years. Post retirement she and Papa took on the challenge of raising three of their grandchildren, turned children. In her free time she enjoyed grocery store runs to United Market, Walgreens, Lowes, and the Dollar Store, singing with St. James choir, and volunteering with Citywide Mission. She had a special talent for cooking fried chicken, chili beans, baking pound cakes, and bringing joy to those around her.
Linda is survived by her children Nicole Shepard (Kevin), Craig Smith, Clifford Price, Stephanie Hudgins, Justice Price-Moore, Dejah Price-Moore, and Shanell Price-Moore. Her sisters Paula, Sandra, Sherri, Eula, and only brother Tony. Grandchildren Tiffany, Britney, Ashley, Nickelva, Kalin, Curmus, Cannyan, Jules, Shylexis, Qwashawn, Erica, Anthony, Craig Jr., and Corryn, and 14 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, and nephews.
She walked through those "pearly gates" into the loving embrace of those who had gone before her. Awaiting in Heaven was her beloved husband Calvin Moore, her parents Marjorie Miller and Henry Smith, her sisters Audrey Walker and Charlette Smith, and niece Schawntivya Smith.
Linda's joyous spirit, love, and kindness will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
