Linda C. Moore, 102, of Reading formerly of Wakefield died on Tuesday, October 23 at the Wingate at Reading Nursing Center. Born I n Chelsea on August 15, 1910 she was the daughter of the late Archille and Louisa (Gubitosi) Carbone. Mrs. Moore was raised and educated in Chelsea and Stoneham. She had been a Reading resident for the past 40 years. Mrs. Moore had worked at both Dine Shoe, Copley Shoe and Moore's Fish Market all in Wakefield. She was awarded the Life Time Member of the Wednesday Coffee Bowling League in North Reading. She was the wife of the late George E. Moore, Jr. Mrs. Moore is survived by her son George E. Moore III and his wife Virginia, her daughter Barbara J. Williams and her husband Charles all of Reading, her seven grandchildren; Lyn Szostkiewicz, Robyn Ferrazzani, Darren Moore, Gayle Tassinari, Charles Williams III, Gregg Moore and Carolyn Moore and her two nieces; Marie Volpe and Dolores Carbone. She is also survived by her 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Moore was predeceased by her four sisters; Amelia Folino, Josephine Fotino, Lena Frenzo and Eleanor Kazlauskas and her two brothers; Frederick and Charles Carbone, Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Tuesday at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 10:30am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beacon Hospice, 100 Cummings Center, Suite 222C, Beverly, MA 01915.
