Linda Lou Muchow

Linda Lou Muchow, age 76, of Postville, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Linda was born on May 16, 1948, in Postville, Iowa, to Harold "Hoot" and Doris (Ellis) Meyer. She was baptized on May 16, 1948, and confirmed on April 15, 1962, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. She graduated from Postville High School in 1966 and went on to attend Beauty School in Cedar Rapids.
Linda worked as a cosmetologist and proudly owned and operated several hair salons throughout her life. A lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Linda was active in her faith community. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, ceramics, and had a great love for chocolate.
Linda is survived by her children: Dustan (Julie) Berns of Urbandale; Derek (Crystal) Muchow of Luana; and Kyle Muchow of Postville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Connor, Jack, Claire, Derek Jr., Dakota, Madyson, Jayden, and Haylie; and three great-grandchildren: Lyric, Liam, and Lacey. She is also survived by her brother, Terry (Robin) Meyer of Postville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Doris Meyer; and her brother, Larry Meyer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville with Rev. Lynn Noel officiating.
Burial will follow at the Postville Cemetery.
