Mark Muchow, 68, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, September 28, 2025 unexpectedly, but peacefully in his favorite chair.
Mark Alan Muchow was born February 12, 1957, to Ronald and Luverne (Anderson) Muchow in Fergus Falls. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1975. He also attended Fergus Falls Community College and Bemidji College for photography.
Over the years, Mark worked as a bartender at The Dragon in Fergus Falls and then CHS as an applicator. Mark retired in 2021.
He enjoyed the local walking trails and went for five-mile walks daily with his dog, Cooter "Coot." Mark loved photography, duck, deer, and pheasant hunting, fishing, cooking, grilling, and baking, especially pies. Mark loved to be at the cabin out on Marion Lake with family. He spent a lot of time there in the summer. He also loved to travel with friends and his sister, Mary.
Preceding Mark in death were his parents, Ronald and Luverne Muchow; his brother, Douglas Muchow, sister, Karen Muchow, and great-niece, Kaitlyn Hasbargen.
Mark is survived by his son, Ben (Lizzie) Muchow of Wadena; grandchildren, Nathan Muchow of Fargo and Kiera King of Wadena; siblings, Kathy Hasbargen of Fergus Falls, Mary Beth Muchow (Bruce Hamon) of Chandler, AZ and Steve Muchow (Deb Skadberg) of Nevis, MN, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Olson Funeral and Cremation in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service.
