Linda Frances "Lin" Parker died peacefully, at the young age of 74, with her daughter, Ellen by her side. The family is deeply saddened by her sudden death. She resided in Plympton and spent the majority of her time as a resident of her beloved town, graduating from Silver Lake High School in 1969. Linda was born on January 15, 1951 and passed away on September 15, 2025. Lin was the first of four daughters born to Edward andMarilyn Fillion.
Linda was an avid reader, often reading several books per week. She excelled at cooking and hosted many holiday get-togethers; this was truly an occasion she looked forward to. Lin's happiest times were when her house was full of family and friends enjoying the meals she prepared with love.
Working at Gold World, with family and friends, as a jeweler made her a familiar and a loved person in the Wareham community. For over 30 years Linda assisted customers in picking out the perfect gift for their loved one.
Linda had two children whom she adored, Eddie and Ellen, with her previous husband Barry McAloney. In 1984 Linda married Warren Parker and was proud to become a step-mother to Mark and David Parker. Throughout her 35 year marriage to her loving husband Warren the two traveled and began skiing. After Warren's passing Lin was fortunate to find love again with Alan Allsopp. The two were so happy to recognize their love in each other and they became engaged, they were to marry in November. Being a mother, grandmother and partner were undoubtedly the most important components inher life.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Marly (Hinchey) Fillion, husband Warren Parker, her son Eddie McAloney, and two sisters Jane and Terry. She is survived by her fiance, Alan Allsopp; daughter, Ellen Bauer, her husband Greg; Mark Parker, and his wife Michelle; David Parker, and his significant other Karen; sister Susan Coates, and her husband Bill; grandchildren, Timothy and Devin Parker, Patrick McAloney, Aaron, Avery, and Audrey Bauer; numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial visiting hours will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 10-11:30 with a memorial service set to begin at 11:30. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the South Shore Humane Society or Massachusetts Military Support.
The family would also like to extend a invitation to join them at the Upland Sportsman Club in Plympton immediately following the service for a time of remembrance.
