Linda D. Plotzke, born on February 20, 1948, passed away on August 28, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the devoted daughter of the late Gloria and Lawrence, and a cherished wife to her beloved husband Edward for 54 beautiful years. Linda's life was one marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
Linda's legacy is carried on by her three children: Mark, Matthew (Hazel), and Amy. She was a proud and dedicated grandmother to Destiny, Valarie, Cassidy, and Dylan. While she was preceded in death by her cherished granddaughter Kayla, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Linda's lineage extended even further, as she took immense joy in being a great-grandmother to Ava.
Throughout her life, Linda was a woman of many passions. An avid reader and artist, she found solace and inspiration in the worlds of painting and literature. Her particular fondness for mysteries and crime stories was well-known, often spending her evenings engrossed in shows like True Crime and 48 Hours. Her creative spirit extended to calligraphy and writing, where her talents shone brightly. She even achieved recognition at a young age, winning a statewide writing contest during her high school years.
Linda's sense of adventure was evident in her love for travel. She embarked on countless road trips, finding joy in exploring new places and creating cherished memories. Notably, she and Edward celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a memorable road trip to New York, a testament to their enduring love and companionship.
As a grandmother, Linda's devotion knew no bounds. She embraced her role with an unmatched warmth and dedication, showering her grandchildren with immeasurable love and support. Her genuine care and interest in their lives created a lasting bond that will forever resonate in their hearts.
Linda's professional journey led her to a role that truly resonated with her caring nature. As a staffing coordinator at a nursing home, she found purpose in providing care and support to those in need. Her compassion and dedication left an indelible mark on the lives she touched, making her a beloved figure in her workplace and community.
Linda D. Plotzke's life was a tapestry woven with love, passion, and a deep connection to family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family members and friends, a reminder of the beauty that can be found in a life well-lived. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the joy she brought to all of us and the lasting impact she leaves behind.
Visitation will be held at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home on Thursday, August 31, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Rosary service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on August 31, offering a moment of reflection and comfort for those who gather to remember Linda's life. Friends and family are invited to join in sharing memories and supporting one another during this time.
The Funeral Mass to celebrate Linda D. Plotzke's life will take place on September 1st at Holy Family Catholic Church in Novi. The day will begin with a brief visitation period starting at 10:00 AM, allowing loved ones to pay their respects and offer their final farewells. The Funeral Mass will commence at 10:30 AM, a solemn yet uplifting occasion to honor Linda's memory and the legacy she leaves behind.
In honor of Linda's late granddaughter Kayla and to honor Linda's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This heartfelt gesture reflects the family's commitment to raising awareness and support for a cause that holds personal significance.

Mark, Matt, Amy, Mr. Plotzke my deepest condolences are with you at this time. As a only child it truly took a village to raise me and I always considered you all as a second family and your mom definitely as a second mom. If there is anything I possibly can do please let me know.
