Linda Popp

Linda Faye Popp, age 77 passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a family who will forever cherish her memory.

Linda was known for her kind heart, unwavering honesty, and a personality that was as strong as it was loving. She had a way of telling it like it was-brutally honest at times-but always from a place of care and sincerity. A true hard worker, Linda believed in showing up, doing things right, and standing by the people she loved. Her strength and determination were evident in everything she did, and she instilled those same values in her family. Linda's greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She loved them fiercely and proudly, always cheering them on and making sure they knew just how special they were to her. Whether offering support, advice, or one of her honest opinions, her love was constant and unconditional. She was also a devoted fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, rarely missing a chance to cheer them on. Game days brought excitement, laughter, and memories that her family will forever hold close. Linda Faye Popp will be remembered for her kindness, her work ethic, her loyalty, and her no-nonsense honesty. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and truth that will live on through those who were lucky enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Zimmerman-Catlett, her father Smoky Catlett, her brother's Kenny and Larry Catlett, her beloved sister Queenie Catlett-Perry, and her daughter Cindy Popp-Sanders.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Popp-Brown (Lloyd Brown) and Jeffery Popp (Angelia Murphy), both of Shelbyville; her Grandchildren, Molly, Courtney, Haleigh, Ty, Shayla, Kaitlyn; 10 Great-grandchildren; her sisters, Caroline Philips and Gloria Catlett.

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced later by Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
