Linda Rogers, 71, of Fernandina Beach, was called home by Jesus on September 7, 2025. She was born on October 6, 1953, at Fort Stewart–Hunter Army Airfield.
Linda was a devoted member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Fernandina Beach, where she generously shared her many gifts in service to her faith and community.
A graduate of the University of Indianapolis, Linda began her professional journey in New York City, launching a successful banking career and discovering a lifelong passion for running-highlighted by her completion of the New York City Marathon.
After moving to Amelia Island with her husband, Dave, Linda became an active member of the Kraft Tennis Club, where she enjoyed both the sport and the friendships it fostered. She and Dave also spent many joyful years as season ticket holders for the Jacksonville Jaguars, though Linda's heart always remained loyal to her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
Linda was the catalyst behind the cherished family reunions held annually since 2021 on Hilton Head Island at 31 Mallard. These gatherings brought immense joy to her life, as she treasured time spent with her beloved bonus children and their families.
She retired in 2015 after a distinguished 25-year career in banking, culminating in her role as Senior Vice President at Bank of America.
Linda was predeceased by her beloved parents, Rev. Charles H.A. Woods and Marie J. Woods of Pennsylvania, as well as her cherished cocker spaniel, CoCo.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David Charles Rogers, of Amelia Island, her loving sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Larry Beeman, her brother and sister-in-law, David and Chris Woods, along with extended family members and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on the afternoon of Saturday, October 4th, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Memorial United Methodist Church in Linda's honor.
