Linda Rust, age 72 of Bluffton, MN died Saturday, October 14, 2023 at her home.
Linda Kay Brink was born in Fergus Falls, MN on December 27, 1950, the youngest of eight daughters to parents Milton and Helen (Oman) Brink. In 1968, Linda met Warren Rust at a horse riding stable and the following year, Linda and Warren were married at the Richville United Methodist Church. She greatly loved Warren throughout their 54 years together. Linda was a caregiver and she worked as a nurse aid for most of her career. The caregiver in Linda also showed as she had a tremendous love of animals. She loved horses and was a great rider, and was known to feed and water stray cats around her home. While dealing with cancer years ago, Linda kept such a good attitude, people wouldn't have even known she was ill; she always put others first. Linda will be remembered for her baking as she made wonderful cakes and coffee rolls, and would make chocolate chip cookies for Milton when he worked the potato harvest. Her chili and potato salad will also be missed. Linda enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, soap operas, and playing board games with her grandchildren; she often let them win! Linda leaves behind totes and totes of yarn as she loved to crochet and don't forget about all the tables, she had good intentions of refinishing them all. Seeing Jonathan and Nikki get married and watching Hunter go to state in football brought such joy.
Preceding Linda in death were her parents; her six sisters; and her grandson Trevor.
Surviving Linda are her husband Warren; her three children MaLinda (John) Berry, Warren Rust II, and Milton (Jessica) Rust; her 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister Carol McGowan; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
