Linda Grossman Simowitz

March 25, 1953 - January 12, 2024

Linda Marie Simowitz (nee Grossman), beloved wife of the late Peter Simowitz, passed from this world on January 12, 2024. Linda was born on March 25, 1953, in Queens, New York. She is survived by her stepchildren, Keith Simowitz, Bryant (Gina) Simowitz, Garrett Simowitz, and Barri (Louis) Grisoula and their children. She is also survived by her siblings, Susan (Edward) Farrell, Elizabeth Strode, Robert (Sandy) Grossman, and Jeannie (Nick) Pizzariello along with stepsiblings, Allen, Elizabeth and Patricia and many nieces and nephews. Linda is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Grossman, her stepmother, Betty Grossman, and her two younger sisters, Regina, and Barbara.

Linda and Peter enjoyed the beginning of their married life in Massapequa, New York before moving on to San Diego, California, and Jupiter, Florida, finally landing and making their lives in Mooresville, North Carolina where they became part of their church community at St. Patrick's Episcopal Parish. Linda was also very involved with the Democratic Party and party politics here in Iredell County. Linda spent her early career as a computer analyst in Manhattan and ended her career with the Iredell County School District. She enjoyed many, many hobbies such as art, painting, sewing, and crafting.

Linda will be missed by her family and many friends made along her life's journey. A service for Linda is scheduled for Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, 164 Fairview Road, Mooresville, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's honor to the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House, 1325 Mecklenburg Hwy., Mooresville, NC 28115 or St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, 164 Fairview Road, Mooresville, North Carolina 28117.
