Linda S. Simpson, 76, of Muscatine, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at Accura HealthCare of Muscatine. Linda gave of herself until the end, including donating her corneas.

Services to celebrate Linda’s life will be held in the Spring and announced at a later date, with burial taking place at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery at that time. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Moments Hospice.

The former Linda Sue Hill was born August 4, 1949, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Delmer and Darlene (Staats) Hill. She married the love of her life, Louis G. Simpson on March 15, 1969, in Muscatine. The couple shared over 56 years of happy marriage and together raised three children, John, Michelle, and William.

She enjoyed working on “circle word” puzzles and watching gameshows on television. Christmas was her favorite time of year, she especially loved the decorating and lights, but most of all the togetherness of family. Linda’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the center of her world. Nothing compared to the smile on her face when she was holding one of the babies.

Linda is survived by three children, John Simpson of Muscatine, Michelle (Jacquelinne) Haller of Muscatine, and William (Shannon) Simpson of Denison, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Mykel (Haley) Simpson, Heather (Austin) Lindeman, Pyre Haller, Raven-Skye (Joey Hathaway) Haller, Halie Grey, Abigail Grey, and William Simpson; five great-grandchildren, Mallory, Rowan, Emma, Esmie, Alleigha, with a great-grandson due any day; siblings, Marcia (Kevin) Birkhofer, Yvonne (Brandon Buster) Orr, Delma (Jimmy) Young, Darla (Scott) Doty, and James (Tanya) McBride; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Lori Rick, Debra Berger, Michael Hill, Sherry Franklin, and Mitchel Longcor.
