Linda Ann Slipher

October 5, 1950 – January 18, 2026

Linda Ann Slipher passed on January 18, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born in Kokomo, Indiana on October 5, 1950, Linda was the third of four children born to Gerald “Chink” and Olive Fearnow. She grew up rooted in Indiana and carried those roots with her throughout a life marked by connection, faith, and an unmistakable presence.

Linda spent most of her professional career as an executive assistant in healthcare, nonprofit, and manufacturing organizations. After retiring in the late 2010s, she proved that retirement was simply a transition. She launched Linda’s Airport Transportation, quickly building a loyal client base and earning Neighborhood Favorite honors on Nextdoor in both 2023 and 2024. She also became a preferred Airbnb host, welcoming guests from around the world into her home with warmth, curiosity, and conversation that often turned strangers into friends.

A lifelong woman of faith, Linda was deeply involved in her churches from childhood onward and was a member of Traders Point Christian Church in Carmel, Indiana. Her faith was lived, not just spoken, through service, community, and curiosity. Over the years, she traveled on mission trips to India and Australia, experiences that broadened her worldview and deepened her compassion.

Linda’s faith was inseparable from how she lived her life—openly, energetically, and in constant relationship with others. Whether through worship, study, service, or conversation, she sought connection and meaning, and she brought people along with her wherever she went.

Linda loved people and had a gift for maintaining friendships across every season of her life. She stayed connected easily and intentionally, making others feel remembered, welcomed, and included.

Her Spirit Sisters Bible study group was a meaningful and joy-filled part of her life, gathering regularly for study, fellowship, stories, laughter, and wine.

She loved music in all its forms—rock, pop, r&b, soul, jazz, gospel, hymns, and modern Christian music—and delighted in live performances. Concerts at Symphony on the Prairie at Conner Prairie, theater productions, and dinner clubs like Beef & Boards were among her favorite ways to spend an evening. She also cherished warm climates and the beach, returning year after year to Florida and the Gulf Coast—trips she eagerly anticipated.

Above all, Linda poured herself into her role as “Mimi.” She took extraordinary joy in her grandchildren and made them the center of her world. Camp Mimi became a beloved annual tradition—a weeklong gathering of all the grandchildren that often involved travel to destinations across the country, including North Carolina, the Wisconsin Dells, Kentucky, Alabama, Virginia, and Florida. Beyond those trips, she was consistently present in their everyday lives, whether in Indiana or Wisconsin, offering attention, enthusiasm, and unwavering pride.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Gary (Joan) Fearnow.

She is survived by her sister Jane Main, widow of Dick Main; her brother Steve (Sudie) Fearnow; her sister-in-law Joan Fearnow; and her three children: Andy (Jay Phillips) Slipher, Adam (Kelly) Slipher, and Alison (Stephen) Todd. She is also survived by her grandchildren Clayton and Colette Slipher; Griffin, Grayden, and Gavin Todd; along with countless nieces and nephews and great nieces and great-nephews.

Linda’s life was marked by energy, hospitality, faith, and a love of being fully engaged with the world around her. She had a natural ease in the spotlight and an ability to draw people together, and she will be remembered for her warmth, her stories, and the many lives she touched.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, IN 46062. A celebration of life observance will follow at 7:00 p.m., featuring a brief eulogy and shared remembrances in the spirit Linda loved most.
