Linda C. Smith, age 73 of Colbert, Georgia, passed away on August 30, 2025. She was born on November 15, 1951 in Aguilar, CO. to the late Ignacio and Carmelita Cruz.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her kindness, compassion and for being loved by all.
Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Wayne T. Smith of Georgia. Linda is survived by her daughter Kiana Smith of Georgia, her son William P. Smith of Louisiana, her son Greg W. Smith, granddaughter Caitlyn M. Smith and grandson James G. Smith of Connecticut. Linda was preceded in death by her father Ignacio Cruz and Mother Carmelita Cruz.
Linda attended Auguilar High School in Auguilar, Colorado graduating in 1970. Linda spent over 25 years working in the optical field.
Linda enjoyed sewing, reading and being the best wife, mother and grandmother for her family.
A small private family service has taken place. The funeral home assisting with the arrangements is Lord and Stephen's, located in Athens, GA.
Linda C. Smith will be dearly missed by her loved ones and all who knew her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
