Linda Lou (Morgan) Sylvester, age 76, of North Vernon, Indiana, formerly of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, in North Vernon. Born Saturday, February 5, 1949, in Stanford, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Faris Burkley & Gwen L. (Walker) Morgan. Linda was the widow of the late Gerald Dean "Jerry" Sylvester, Jr., to whom she was married 21 years, and preceded her in death Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Linda loved animals, loved fishing, and loved watching Hallmark movies, mystery shows, basketball, football and baseball.

Linda leaves behind four children, Nancy Burns (Jeffrey) of Taylorsville, Kentucky, Stephanie Greer of North Vernon, James Franks of North Vernon, and Scott Short of North Vernon; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, George Morgan of Yosemite, Kentucky; one sister, Tamme Bright of North Vernon; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A Private Family Viewing will be held, with Cremation Rites to follow.

A Public Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 11AM-1PM Friday, October 3, 2025, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home, 545 KY Hwy 328 West, Waynesburg, KY 40489.

Burial will follow in Durham Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky.

Memorial Contributions suggested to the donor's local humane society or to plant a tree in Linda's memory.
