Linda Carol Tate, 76, wife of 50 years to Jerry Wayne Tate, died on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Born in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Lawson Anderson, Sr. and Mary F. Turner Anderson and sister to the late Craig T. Anderson.

Linda was a longtime member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church, where she served as a Youth Sunday School Teacher for more than 30 years. She also taught Sunday School at Prince Avenue Baptist Church for over 10 years. She was a true prayer warrior for her church, loved telling others about Jesus and truly a Godly Woman.

Survivors in addition to her husband Jerry include one son; Timothy Wayne Tate; brother and sister in law: Curtis L. (Debbie) Anderson, Jr.; seven nieces and nephews; 28 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services celebrating Linda’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 2PM at Crooked Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8PM on Monday at Lord and Stephens West Chapel. Pallbearers include Hubert Edwards, Gregg Ward, Rick Shaw, Dean Stringer, Jake Stringer, Derek Wynne.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to NGM, Neighborhood Gospel Missions, 602 Bethesda Church Rd, Lexington, GA 30648.
