Linda Toscano Obituary

Linda Miller Toscano

March 27, 1941 - September 27, 2025

Linda Jane Miller Toscano, age 84, of Villas, NJ passed away at home on Saturday, September 27, 2025. She was surrounded by family in her last days. Born in Wildwood, NJ, Linda was raised in Uvalde and San Antonio, TX and carried her Texas spirit wherever she went.

She leaves behind three terrific sons of whom she was endlessly proud. They include John Jasper, Retired Chief Master Sergeant, U.S.A.F.; Captain David Jasper, of the Harris County Sheriff's Department; and Robert Jasper, Chief Operating Officer of Hunter's Sprinkler Repair in New Braunfels, Texas.

Linda is also survived by her partner and best friend, Reverend Susan Witt, of Villas, NJ; her brother, Robert Miller, and sister-in-law, Irene C. Metro M.D., of Plymouth, MI; Lola Nell Bailey, of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the proud companion to her cat, Adam.

She was an artist, antique dealer and comedian with a quick wit that could make you laugh until it hurt. She was also generous to a fault. With a keen eye for history, she delighted in finding treasures at yard sales and operated Hattie's Attic, an antique dealership in Texas and New Jersey. Linda was also a school bus driver in San Antonio and had an uncanny ability to bring happiness and fun when transporting special-needs children to and from school. They loved her and she loved them back.

Above all, Linda was fiercely loyal. She could cuss you out in one breath and defend you to the ends of the earth in the next. Those lucky enough to know her were blessed by her fiery wrath and deep, abiding love. She will be remembered for all the good she shared with others, be it an original drawing, a children's book, a spontaneously funny remark, and her loyalty to those who called her "friend".

In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to a local animal shelter. Most importantly, remember Linda when you laugh. And Laugh often.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 1st at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow on the grounds of Tabernacle Cemetery.

I thought I'd share...
My first special memory that came to mind ... one evening Jane and me got a phone call from Linda ... "Hey, wanna go for ice cream? Sure! We said... and Linda says ok good! Swing by Wawa, pick up 1/2 gallon and bring it over here"!! So unexpected it was the funniest moment and Classic Linda ... and what a great evening we had...
while the memories will continue to come to mind... you will be loved and remembered...
RIP Linda
My sincerest condolences to Sue and to Linda's friends & family...
