Linda Lee Trumpold

Linda Lee Trumpold (née Jehan), 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in Zephyrhills, Florida. She previously resided in Wallingford, Connecticut, and Bellows Falls, Vermont, for many years before making Florida her home. Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Linda was the daughter of Richard Jehan and Barbara Wood Jehan. She shared a happy childhood with her parents, sisters, and extended family at the Connecticut shore, often recounting memories of Savin Rock and Momauguin. She devoted her adult life to raising her five children and was fiercely proud of each of them and her six beloved grandchildren. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, the sound of her playing the piano, and something delicious cooking in the kitchen. She was known for giving heartfelt gifts, always remembering the little things that would bring joy to the people she loved. Linda had a deep love for animals and cherished collecting antiques. She loved music – she could often be found dancing or singing karaoke on weekends. Linda was blessed with beautiful handwriting and an artistic side, crafting everything from dioramas for school with her children, to wedding headpieces for family members. She will be remembered for her kind smile, infectious laugh, and caring heart that touched all who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Kaplan of North Haven, CT; her daughters, Stacey Theurer of Waitsfield, VT, Bonney Gaulin of Lakeland, FL, Jennifer Allis Vazquez of Wallingford, CT, and Rebecca Allen of Bellows Falls, VT; her grandchildren, Alexandria Paluszewski, Colton Theurer, Evan Theurer, Kaitlyn Roseberry, Corrina Vazquez, and Emily Petretti; and her sisters, Doreen D'Auria of Fort Pierce, FL, Judy Kaiser of Wallingford, CT, and Laura Robinson of North Branford, CT. Linda also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends and family. Linda was predeceased by her father, Richard Jehan; her son, Michael Johnson; and many beloved pets who no doubt greeted her warmly. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Linda's memory to an animal shelter of your choice.
