Linda R. (Martin) VanHoose, 78, of Lakeview, OH, passed away peacefully, Wednesday morning, September 3, 2025, at Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center.
Linda was born on April 17, 1947, in Lima, OH, a daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy (Crider) Martin. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Alan VanHoose, and four brothers, Larry Martin, Richard Martin, Thomas Martin, and Donnie Martin.
Linda is survived by a daughter, Lori (Jim) Smith of Belle Center, OH, a son, Eric (Laura) VanHoose of Arcanum, OH, four grandchildren, Jason Daniels, Sabrina Daniels, Abbigail (Cameron) Warner, and Evan VanHoose, three step-grandchildren, Dani (John) Willis, Ashley (Ricky) Burris, and Shelby (Justin) Powell, five step-great grandchildren, Colton Willis, Tucker Willis, Millie Willis, Rylee Burris, and Addison Burris, a sister, Judy Mayer, three brothers, Gary Martin, Steve Martin, and Dennis Martin, and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was a 1965 graduate of Lima Shawnee High School. She retired from GEM Sporting Goods. Linda was a life member of Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39 Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo and working on puzzle books. Her greatest joy came from being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Huntsville Cemetery. A celebration of Linda's life will be held from 3-5 pm, October 19, 2025, at Amvets Post #39, 110 W. Harrison St, Lakeview.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Linda's memory to Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund, 14442 US 33, Lakeview, OH, 43331
