Linda Ann (Whitman) DeWitt

On November 4, 2022, Linda Ann (Whitman) DeWitt of Silver Spring, MD passed away at the age of 77. Born in Boston to the late Joseph and Alice (Galvin) Whitman, she loved her city and cherished her family. Beloved as Ma, Nanie, Linnie, and Aunt Pooh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill DeWitt, her brother, Don Whitman, and nephew, Brian Bickmore. She is survived by her sons, David (Julie) DeWitt of Chicago, IL and Rob (Dani) DeWitt of Rockville, MD; her grandchildren, Meredith, Teddy, Liam, Christopher, and Catherine; her sister, Marsha (George) Kintz of Plymouth, and sisters-in-law, Marianne (Doug) Pratt of Billerica and Alice Whitman of Hyde Park; her nephews and nieces. She spent many years as a member of the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps. She treasured the unbelievable people she met and fun that was had. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at bostoncrusaders.org/donate. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church, 90 W Milton St, Readville, MA, on Saturday, December 3 at 12 noon. A private interment will follow.
