Rita G. Acker

Of Silver Spring, MD and most recently of Reston, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Rita, predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Bob, and beloved daughter, Patty, is survived by her children, Amy Kearse and husband, Brad, and Mike Acker and wife, Maria; her four grandchildren, Zack, Jacob, Jackson, and Olivia; Goddaughter Karen Carbone; Great Niece Dallan and Great Nephew Kace; and many nieces and nephews. Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Relatives and friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at noon, followed by Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
