Linda Y. (Hurley) Wickert, 81, of Cicero, NY, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at The Grand Rehab and Nursing in Chittenango. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Gerald and Olive (Sotherden) Hurley. Linda was the store manager at Bavarian Pretzel in Syracuse for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing Dominoes with Carolyn.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, Janet Gapski and Arnold Hurley.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, George A. Wickert; three children, Colleen Wickert (JoAnn Billy), Kevin Wickert (Amy Wickert) and Carrie Beckwith (Rick Crockett); four grandchildren, Joshua Wickert (Lyndsi), Stephanie Cranfill (Rachel), Zachary Beckwith (Lauren) and Jacob Beckwith; great-grandchildren, Emily and Zoey Wickert, Atlee, Liam, George and Lincoln Cranfill, Ellie and Walker Beckwith; two sisters, Carol Schneider and Sandy (Herb) Rose; special friends, Carolyn and Jack Cheney, Brenda Arnault, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Special thanks to the staff at The Grand at Chittenango.
She will be laid to rest privately in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
