LINDA WICKES Obituary

LINDA WICKES Linda I. Wickes, 74, of New Martinsville, W.V., formerly of Hannibal, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown, W.V., surrounded by family. She was born April 23, 1951, in Jerusalem, Ohio, a daughter of the late Theodore and Shirley Morris Kurtz. She was a homemaker, attended Duffy Church of God, Duffy, Ohio. Linda loved to craft, work with flowers, quilt and was an Elvis Presley fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Wickes; four brothers. Donald Kurtz, Jim Kurtz, Bill Kurtz and John Kurtz; and two sisters, Margie Fansler and Mary Kurtz. Survivors include a son, Kevin Wickes of Sardis, Ohio; a daughter, Kelly (Darren) Bohrer of New Martinsville; three grandchildren, Ashleigh (Matt) Walker, Ryan Bohrer and Ethan Bohrer, all of New Martinsville; four great-grandchildren, Jourdan, Brayden, Ander and Micco Walker; three sisters, Minnie (Charles) Saffell of Armstrong Mills, Ohio, Helen (Barry) Nelms of Duffy, and Phyllis (Dean) Dingus of Barnesville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service were held Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Emma Grove Cemetery, Hannibal, where she will be reunited with the love of her life for 57 years.
