Linda Rae (Weakland) Wolfe, 86, of
West Bradford, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Chester County Hospital, West Chester.
Born in Altoona, Linda was the daughter of the late Vincent and Eleanor (Tippett) Weakland. She graduated from Altoona Senior High School in June of 1957.
Linda was the beloved wife of the late Richard M. Wolfe, Sr., with whom she shared 56 years of marriage filled with love, faith, and adventure. Together they especially loved traveling and going on cruises, cherishing every journey side by side.
Throughout her life, Linda dedicated herself to service and hard work. Her most proud work was serving as Director of the Downingtown Senior Center for many years. She concluded her career at MISA Corporation in Downingtown, retiring in 2010 as Secretary of the Corporation. Linda was also an active volunteer for many organizations and was honored as Downingtown Citizen of the Year in 1984.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Linda was a devoted member of Marshallton United Methodist Church, West Chester where her love for Jesus Christ guided her life and service.
Linda is survived by her children: Judith Ann Jones (Daniel Jones) of
Leominster, MA, Richard M. Wolfe Jr. (Sandra Duvall-Wolfe) of
West Grove, PA, and Brenda L. Denithorne (Gerald Denithorne) of Coatesville; grandchildren: Rebecca Lynch (Alex Lynch), Paige Trainer (Zachary Trainer), Wesley Waletzko (Henry Waletzko) and Clifton Wolfe (Catt Wolfe); great granddaughter: Charlotte; brother: Richard Weakland (Alice Weakland); sister in law: Wanda Weakland.
In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband: Reverend Richard M Wolfe Sr, brother: James Weakland, and nephew: James Weakland Jr.
Linda loved spending time with her family, reading, crocheting, and cooking meals made with love. She was devoted, kind, and caring, and her gentle spirit made everyone feel welcomed and loved.
Linda lived her life faithfully, and her family takes comfort in the words she now hears:
"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
A viewing will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 9:45-10:45 AM at Marshallton United Methodist Church: 1282 W Strasburg Rd,
West Chester, PA 19382. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at the adjoining Marshallton United Methodist Church Cemetery.
