Linda A. "Wish" Wyrshyhora

COHOES Linda A "Wish" Wyrshyhora, 73, passed away February 26, 2025 in Little River, SC.
Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Hervey Grestini and Rhea Etoll Genest and the step daughter of the late Bernard Genest.
Linda was educated in Cohoes schools and graduated from Keveny Memorial Academy in 1969. She worked for most of her life at Verizon until retiring in 1996. Following her retirement, she enjoyed spending every winter in the Myrtle Beach area.
She belonged to the Little River American Legion Post #186 Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed golfing, gardening and cooking.
Linda is survived by her life and golfing partner, Michael Szozda of Cohoes and Little River, SC; by her loving son, Brian Wyrshyhora and his wife Deanne of Loudonville; and by her precious grandson, Luke Wyrshyhora. She is also survived by her dear friends, "The Cougars," Denise, Maureen and Patty.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two children, Paul and Dana Wyrshyhora; by her sister, Ellen Genest and by her favorite aunt, Kay Etoll.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Monday, June 9, 2025 at 12 p.m. in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.
