Linda Sue Zarych, 59, of Crystal Lake, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, after a brave three-year journey with kidney failure. She was born in Chicago on December 12, 1964, to James and Frances (Locasho) Kokines.

Linda had an extraordinary ability to brighten any room with her easygoing nature and good cheer. Her playful personality and kind heart made her a natural at forming connections, whether it was a stranger in the grocery store or a fellow patient at dialysis. She truly found joy in spreading kindness and building friendships wherever she went.

She married the love of her life, Jonathan Zarych, on September 26, 1993. A devoted animal lover, Linda cherished her beloved cats, Sabrina and Sadie, who were her constant companions through life’s challenges. In her absence, Sabrina and Sadie stay close to Jonathan, offering him the same comfort and love that they once gave Linda.

Linda is survived by her husband, Jonathan; her brother, James (Karen) Kokines, and their children, Sam and Lexi; her sister, Vicki Walker; and her sister-in-law, Jennifer (Tim) Storen.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life on her 60th birthday, Thursday, December 12, 2024, during a memorial visitation from 1:00 PM until a service at 4:00 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
