Linden R. Cullen, 97, went to be with Jesus at 7:00 pm on December 21, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Linden was born on May 25, 1927 in Providence, KY the son of Clarence and Lavene (Lamb) Cullen. He married Joyce Hinton on July 1, 1950 and she preceded him in death on August 29, 2018.
Linden was a member of First Baptist Church in Washington and served his country during WW II as a Merchant Marine. Linden had been a test engineer for Whirlpool and Director of Religious Education at Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Evansville. He was also in Sales at Montgomery Ward and at Sugarland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Washington, IN. He also served as Daviess County Coroner and Deputy Coroner for several years and was an Indiana Real Estate Broker.
Linden is survived by his children, Dr. Stephen Cullen and his wife Sharon of Washington, Charlotte Hatfield of Evansville, IN, Dr. Timothy Cullen and his wife Julia of Blanchard, OK; his grandchildren, Chadwick Cole, Lindsay Levisay, Jennifer Boyd and her husband Greg, Dr. Amy Archer and her husband Aaron, Daniel Cullen and his wife Carol Ann; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Linden is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lavene Cullen, wife Joyce Cullen; sister, Marian Moser, brother, Harry Lane Cullen and his grandson William Drew Cole.
Friends may visit with Linden's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street. Pastor Tim Baxter will officiate and Linden will be laid to rest at Sugarland Memory Gardens Mausoleum next to his wife Joyce. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Linden and his family.
