Lindsey Ann Bigler of Cresco, IA passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024 at the age of 35.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., at Helms Funeral Home 306 East Water Street, Decorah, IA 52101. Burial will be in the Phelps Cemetery at a later date.
Lindsey was born November 4, 1988, the daughter of Robert and Barbara (Dotzler) Bigler in Decorah, IA. She was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church. She attended Decorah High School and graduated in 2007.
On August 24, 2009, she welcomed her daughter Zoey Jean into the world, Zoey was her entire world. Zoey gave her strength during the rough times with laughter and joy all the time.
Lindsey held various jobs through the years, she found love helping others. She spent many years working at Opportunity Homes.
Lindsey developed a love and passion for the outdoors. You could find her fishing and usually snagging the biggest catch. She could walk the water shores for hours admiring every rock that she passed, as she loved collecting rocks. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved dog Ace.
Lindsey was faced with many health issues. She never let them stop her from living her life or holding her back. She appreciated the simplest things in life. Lindsey lived by the slogan, "you need to find a little good in even the bad days".
Her life was a living example of the bible verse, Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Lindsey had an infectious laugh and a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand or share a story. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and unforgettable memories. She is survived by; daughter Zoey Bigler, father Robert (Kathryn Thompson) Bigler, sister's Laura (JJ) McConnell, Leann (Lenny) McIntire, nieces and nephews, Abriana (Brayden Phillips), Landen, Ava, Zander, Zariah, Layla and Kysen and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves behind her four-legged friend Ace.
Lindsey was preceded in death by her Mother Barbara (Dotzler) Bigler, grandparents Edward and Helen (Hovey) Dotzler, Roger and Evelyn (Thorson) Bigler and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
