Mrs. Cason will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Monday. Linette "Net" Yvonne Cason was born on May 15th 1955 in Flint, MI to the late Archie Bell and Lenora Tyler. She met the love of her life, the late Ardell "Hollywood" Cason Jr., at the tender age of 14 years old, whom she married on 4/30/1988 and loved and cherished! Net and Wood enjoyed life together and their union lasted fifty-five years. Net and Hollywood were 2 peas in the same pod. Where you see one, you see the other. They were always spotted cruising around the city in their coordinated outfits or being the life of the party. Again…. always in those coordinated outfits!! He loved his Snookum's, and she loved her Wood! They enjoyed singing and dancing together, partying all by themselves, and having a good time listening to old school music in their garage or on their patio! They loved having cookouts and spending time with family and friends. After 17 months apart they are now reunited again! Linette graduated from Flint Northern High School before beginning a long career with General Motors where she retired after 20 years of service. Linette's passion was cooking. She was an extraordinary cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Net adored cooking so much that she envisioned herself opening a catering business. She always said she missed her calling as a master chef! Linette also enjoyed gardening and planted vegetables and tons of flowers every year. Linette was known and loved for always keeping it 100 and speaking her mind! As she said "if it comes up, it comes out no filter!" Her opinions and advice were always valued by family and friends! Her kind heart, strong presence, realness, wisdom, and down-to-earth spirit will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Linette "Net" Yvonne Cason leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Janarvis Tyler of Flint, La'netha (Tracy) Cooper of Atlanta Georgia and Jareco Tyler of Flint. She is also survived by her sister, Geraldine (Johnny) Peterson of Grand Blanc, Michigan; brother, Larry Tyler of Flushing, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces, Tina (Cedrick) Tyler and Sophie (Codaro) Jones; a host of cousin's other relatives and friends including sister friends, Christine McGowen, and Cynthia Tyler. Linette was preceded in death by her husband, Ardell "Hollywood" Cason Jr.; mother, Lenora Tyler; father, Archie Tyler Sr.; brothers, Archie Tyler Jr., Spencer Tyler and Wendell Tyler, great-nephews, Eric Tyler and Dequavis Tyler; and great-niece, Tashara Toins.
