Linette M. (Chevalier) Michaud, 66, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 11, 2026. She was the loving wife of Joseph Allan Michaud for 44 years.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Gerald and Blanche (Lavoie) Chevalier, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Linette was a proud wife of a military service man, embraced the values of a military family with strength and grace. Through many moves and new beginnings, she always created a warm home wherever the family traveled. Her resilience, loyalty, and support were the foundation of her family's strength throughout the years. Linette loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and going out to eat. Known for her warm smile and open heart, she was a wonderful host and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and at home.
She worked as a waitress at the Willow Tree and Little Phoenix for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph; her children, Nichole Adesso of New Bedford, Steven Adesso of Texas, Eathan Michaud of New Bedford, Lance Michaud and his wife Melissa of Washington, and Magan Michaud of Boston; her siblings, Jackie Correia and her husband Andy, Michelle Amaral and her husband Steve, Jeannine Chevalier, Richard Chevalier and his wife Joanne, and Maurice Chevalier and his wife Rosie; her grandchildren, Jayden Adesso, Kylie Thibault, Austin, Emma, and Madee Michaud, Chevy Gilmete, and Adaliea Dextraze.
Her visiting hours will be held Monday, March 23, 2026 from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
