Lino Arao, age 81, passed away on December 26, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was born on September 23, 1944, in Solana, Cagayan, Philippines, to Amado and Dominga (Cagumbay) Arao.
Lino dedicated much of his life to education, service, and community involvement. In the Philippines, he served as an elementary school teacher, sharing his passion for learning. He was actively involved in the Boy Scouts and the 4-H Club, reflecting his deep commitment to youth development and civic engagement.
In 1981, Lino immigrated to Oklahoma, where he continued building a life rooted in hard work and service. He was employed at Maremont/Gabriel for 13 years, Lino owned Lin's Oriental Resturant in downtown Anadarko from 1995 to 2007 and later worked for Step & Fetch, where he remained employed until his passing. He also served as an Anadarko City Council Member for one year, demonstrating his dedication to public service and leadership within his community.
Lino was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where his devotion and involvement reflected his strong faith and values.
Lino will be remembered for his dedication to education, commitment to public service, and deep faith. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched as a teacher, mentor, parishioner, and friend.
